The Mesika Brothers Foundation is a non-profit organisation that provides support and assistance to disadvantaged children, youth and young people in Nigeria.
The Mesika Brothers Foundation supports two orphanages in the outskirts of Abuja, capital of Nigeria. The foundation also assists several programs for the empowerment and enrichment of local youth and young adults.
The two orphanages sponsored by the foundation – Rachel’s Home for Orphans and Vulnerable Children and Talitha Cumi – provide care for handicapped, disadvantaged and abandoned children and infants. The Foundation grants these important homes ongoing funding and assists with maintenance services and basic supplies.
In order to encourage and strengthen the young Generation of Nigeria the foundation has funded several youth initiatives in the region. These initiatives include entrepreneurship programs, management courses, technical training and educational programs for at-risk youth and underprivileged young people.
The foundation provides direct support to organizations that work in their key areas of corporate social responsibility.
The Mesika Brothers Foundation is proud to support the following Nigeria based organizations and programs:
Rachel’s Home for Orphans and Vulnerable Children:
The orphanage provides care for severely disadvantaged children, often those abandoned or orphaned. The home was founded in 1999 by Mrs. Rachel Alaje and relies on the Mesika Brothers Foundation for financial support to continue its work with the most vulnerable children in Abuja.
The Talitha Cumi Orphanage Home:
This orphanage provides a nurturing, safe and caring environment for infants and young children who have been abandoned or taken out of their home. The Mesika Brothers Foundation assists with direct financial support for the running of the orphanage, management services and procurement of basic necessities.
The Mesika Brothers Foundation Sponsors the Following Youth Development Programs:
The foundation was founded in 2007 by entrepreneur and businessman Eyal Mesika and is supported by EMI Systems Limited.
Eyal Mesika was born in Israel and settled in Nigeria in 1991 following a visit to the continent after he completed his combative military service in the Israel Defense Forces. He is the founder, owner and CEO of EMI Systems Limited, a Nigerian security company that operates in Nigeria and neighboring Ghana. The company was founded in 1994 and provides advanced security services and solutions to high profile individuals and organizations in west Africa.
In addition to the philanthropic work of the foundation, Eyal Mesika and EMI Systems Limited also collaborate with the Nigeria Chabad House (a Jewish community support center) on projects that provide access to traditional Jewish facilities for the Nigerian Jewish community.
