A Tour of Our Global Community of Giving
The Morton K. and Jane Blaustein Foundation forms a part of the Blaustein Philanthropic Group.
Operating out of Baltimore, the foundation provides support to organizations across the US and abroad. The Morton K. and Jane Blaustein Foundation give preference to organizations and charities in Baltimore, Washington DC and New York City.
The foundation provides support and grants are awarded in three distinct areas:
Healthcare: The foundation works with the Jonas Center for Nursing and Veterans Healthcare to facilitate scholarships for Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) who intend to specialize in primary care at schools in the Baltimore, New York City and Washington DC regions.
Human Rights: The foundation supports the Fund for New Citizens, an organization based in New York that provides continued support for groups offering legal services to new immigrants and refugees. The foundation works extensively with the Maryland Disability Law Center, and the Office of the Public Defender in Baltimore helping juveniles and youth with metal and physical disabilities.
Education: The foundation works with a group The Donors’ Education Collaborative which focuses on reform of the educational system in New York City by engaging with officials, educators, parents and young people.
Any organization may apply for a grant directly to the Morton K. and Jane Blaustein Foundation. Each case is dealt with on an individual basis and the foundation staff are available to help organizations understand, and apply for grants. Multiple submissions to different foundations within the Blaustein Philanthropic Group are permitted. All applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition $100,000 over two years
Children’s Law Center, Washington DC $120,000 over two years
The Constitution Project, Washington DC $150,000 over two years
Refugee and Immigrant Fund, Queens, NY $230,000
The Morton K. and Jane Blaustein Foundation forms a part of the Blaustein Philanthropic Group. Though each foundation within the group has a distinctly unique mission and vision, they are all inspired by the history and philanthropic legacy of Louis and Henrietta Blaustein and their commitment to the promotion of opportunity and social justice.
