Mission
The Wohl Legacy is a family of charitable foundations that support organizations and communities across a variety of fields in UK, Israel, and Europe.
The Wohl Legacy seeks to ensure strong, viable Jewish communities across the UK and Europe, and a healthy society at large, through funding organizations in healthcare, welfare, education, and employment.
The Wohl Foundation’s Board of Trustees includes Professor David Latchman, Vice-Chancellor at Birkbeck, University of London. The qualified and committed board works to carry on the goals of the late Maurice and Vivienne Wohl. With his prominence in the education field, Latchman plays a key role in supporting the foundation’s efforts.

Supported Causes
The Wohl Legacy comprises of three different charities, all founded by the late Maurice and Vivienne Wohl:
- The Maurice Wohl Charitable Foundation
- The Maurice & Vivienne Wohl Philanthropic Foundation
- The Maurice and Vivienne Wohl Charitable Foundation
As a cohesive vision, Wohl Legacy supports several causes, each with its own specific purpose that reflects the principles and values of Maurice and Vivienne Wohl. In order to receive a grant, these projects must have the potential to change lives — the idea to which the Wohl family dedicated their lives.

The Foundation's History
The Wohl Legacy began with the founding of the Maurice Wohl Charitable Foundation in 1965, as Maurice wanted to put his wealth as a successful property developer towards helping others. Inspired by his father’s endless generosity as a Rabbi, Maurice continued to support people and communities in need with his wife Vivienne. The couple created the Maurice and Vivienne Wohl Philanthropic Foundation.
