The Shane Warne Foundation was founded with the aim of enriching the lives of underprivileged and seriously ill children in Australia. The Foundation is not restricted in it’s focus, the aim and direction from the Board of Directors is to help as many charities and families as possible.
The Shane Warne Foundation is an umbrella organization that supports a wide variety of children’s charities and individual families across Australia.
The procedures for applying to grants from the Foundation are available through the Shane Warne Foundation website. Funding rounds for the following calendar year generally open in mid November.

Exact projects funded are not listed through the Foundations website. Since its inception in 2004 the Shane Warne Foundation has raised in excess of $7 million through corporate sponsorship, events and donations to help over 120 children’s charities and families in Australia. The range of projects sponsored include providing care for terminally ill children, funding essential medical equipment, therapy sessions through swimming and horse riding for the disabled.
hane Warne is one of the world’s greatest ever cricketers and one of Australia’s most recognisable personalities. He represented Australia at cricket between 1992 and 2007. During this time he held the world record for most ever test wickets (708) and he claimed over 1000 wickets across test and one day cricket.
Towards the end of his cricket career Shane Warne began to turn his attention to other endeavors, including philanthropy. He founded the Shane Warne Foundation in 2004 and through events, sponsorship and his celebrity status he has attracted over $7 million in funding to direct towards needy children in his native Australia.
